We discussed the Map of My Dream packet, and she completed it. Ms. Durant is an overall pleasant individual and is willing to help when needed. I advised her. I will follow-up within a couple days to see if her voucher has come and if we are able to assist her. I advised her we are out of funds as well but if we replenish soon, I will let her know. |

Ms. Durant states she has lived in the community for ten years. Ms. Durant shared her frustrations as being overwhelmed with her daily routine which is lack of transportation and child care. Ms. Durant has currently applied with Delano for childcare. Due to their process she is currently on a wait list. I advised her to check back for openings weekly or bi-weekly. Once we can get her childcare situated I talked with her about the Job Readiness Program at Neighborhood Christian Center. She seemed to be somewhat apprehensive because of her lack of transportation. I assured Ms. Durant we will assist her in getting bus passes to be able to get to and from our location. She sad ok at knowing she will have help. Ms. Durant has potential to do great things. She is generally a positive individual with good communication skills. With August approaching soon we are hoping she will get a call in regards to childcare for her son. The plan is to get her started for the Job Readiness Program in August.
